Biography
Lawrence Braun, Principal Owner
Lawrence Braun started Braun Imaging in San Diego, California, while working as a freelance photographer and playing a lot of adult league softball way back in 2006.
He left Southern California for the East Coast in 2009, bringing a vast portfolio rich in architectural and interior commercial images home with him. A supporter of small business, he was convinced that with today’s technology, any company, no matter how small, could compete in arenas dominated by corporate outfits if they had some thoughtful promotional strategies. So in 2010, he re-branded Braun Imaging from an architectural imagery service into a boutique imagery-centric marketing agency that helps businesses focus their promotional efforts on creating and sharing their own media with clients through the internet. Currently located in Northwest New Jersey, Lawrence is a committed proponent of the local food movement and farming community. You can often find him with a rake in hand, not a camera, working his small sharecropping plot in Augusta or involved with community farming projects working toward localizing the food system. He recently began bird watching, playing in an ice hockey league and preserving the food he loves to grow. He wants to one day retire to a farm with a small lake, a dog and maybe even a wife!
Michael John Bodnar, Writer & Assistant Photographer
Michael John Bodnar grew up in Sussex County and spent much of his youth stomping though the woods, obsessing about music, being an adult, and getting the heck out of Sussex County. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 2005 with a double major in English and History, and then studied computer applications just for good measure. After all that stuff, he lived and traveled across the country and a lot of the remaining parts of the world, spending most of that time in Denver, Colorado and Seoul, South Korea.
He came back to the states in the Spring of 2009 to pursue a career in writing and photography and to be within shouting distance of his family and lifelong friends. He’s worked as an English teacher, a counselor, a human resources coordinator, a freelance writer and photographer. Michael loves the outdoors, films, photos, books, boxing, and some other stuff, too. He is currently Braun Imaging’s copywriter, assistant photographer and photo editor, working hard to achieve his lifelong dream of becoming a grown-up.
